Snake River Angler Entomology Event
March 13 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm
Free

Sponsored in collaboration with World Cast Anglers and Jackson Hole Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
Join us on the banks of the upper Snake River! During this hands-on event, you’ll improve your hatch matching knowledge by learning from professional entomologists from The Salmonfly Project.
- You’ll learn about the biology of aquatic insects found on the upper Snake.
- You’ll learn how to collect and identify aquatic insects, including the nymphs and adults of your favorite hatches.
- You’ll learn about the life histories and behaviors of different insects and how to mimic them to catch more fish.
Please bring weather-appropriate clothing, as this will still be early season, outdoor event! In the event we get snowed out, we’ll send you a notice and reroute to an indoor entomology session.
All participants will receive a field guide of major hatches of the western US. Free refreshments will also be provided. Donations are encouraged; all donations will go directly to The Salmonfly Project to support their local education and conservation efforts.
