SUMMARY:Rock Creek Insect Monitoring - Volunteer Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:Volunteers are needed March 23rd-27th to help The Salmonfly Project perform aquatic insect surveys on Rock Creek.  No previous scientific experience is required – only the ability to wade confidently in cold\, knee-deep water while carrying nets/supplies. \nData collection is part of SFP’s ongoing monitoring program to the status and trends of key aquatic insects on Rock Creek. \nTimeframe: Volunteers are needed from 10:00am-5:00pm each day. A minimum volunteer-time of 4 hours is required to allow sufficient time for training\, but its preferred for volunteers to stay for an entire day\, if possible.  \nWhat you’ll need: Please bring your own waders\, boots\, and other basic supplies (e.g.\, food\, water\, etc.). \nWhere to meet: Meeting locations will be coordinated via email or text\, but will occur at 7 sites across the entire Rock Creek drainage. \nInterested? Sign up by filling out this Google Form\, detailing your availability\, and include your cellphone number. \nQuestions? Email  james@salmonflyproject.org \nWrap Party: Join us to celebrate a successful field season at Kettlehouse in Missoula. Proceeds from beer sales will be donated to SFP.
