Upper Blackfoot River Angler Entomology Event

Held in collaboration with Blackfoot Challenge and sponsored by Blackfoot Angler

Join us on the banks of the upper Blackfoot River! During this hands-on event, you’ll improve your hatch matching knowledge by learning from professional entomologists from The Salmonfly Project.

• You’ll learn about the biology of aquatic insects found on the Blackfoot River.
• You’ll learn how to collect and identify aquatic insects, including the nymphs and adults of your favorite hatches.
• You’ll learn about the life histories and behaviors of different insects and how to mimic them to catch more fish.

Please bring weather-appropriate wading gear and clothing, as this is an outdoor event!

All participants will receive a field guide of major hatches of the western US. Free refreshments will also be provided. Donations are encouraged; all donations will go directly to The Salmonfly Project to support their local education and conservation efforts.
